Two employee scheduling platforms, Humanity and When I Work, rank in the top five of 157 SaaS companies with $5 to $10 million in funding. Humanity claims "20,000 workplaces" while When I Work claims "Over 10,000 Happy Customers Worldwide" and 500,000 end-users.
We are only tracking a handful of employee scheduling apps as the segment remains relatively lightly funded compared to other HR applications (e.g., we are tracking 25 companies with recruiting applications).
$10-$25MM in Funding
Trello announced its 10 millionth user this week and is a significant outlier against its peers in terms of users and web visitors (20MM+ monthly web visitors). Monetizing its enormous user base is the challenge. (Disclosure: I have been a happy Trello user since switching from Pivotal Tracker many years ago.) A Series B round is coming soon.
Augmedix is a service for doctors that automates the process to updated health records using smart glasses to capture data from patient visits. Augmedix has been growing rapidly, doubling its staff since May.

ZenPayroll (now Gusto) and Zenefits have been the fastest growing SaaS companies for the last several months and will now be competing head-to-head with ZenPayroll's entry into the employee benefits brokerage market. Zenefits has added a staggering 186 employees per month over the last 4 months.
